© Jim Post 2012 As Mark Twain As Performing Artist As Recording Artist Post, who will turn 70 in 2009, has been performing  in front of audiences for 62 years, and musically, he’s run the gamut, from gospel and bluegrass to rock, before finally settling into his folk music roots. In August of 2007, Jim Post performed in a concert in San Francisco, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the original Summer of Love, along with Country Joe McDonald, Canned Heat, members of the Doors and other sixties-era stars. It was there, in Golden Gate Park, that Post’s song, “Reach Out of the Darkness,” now included in the Rock-and-Roll Hall of Fame, became an anthem of the peace movement. - Northwest Quarterly Magazine Winter 2008-09 As Performing Artist
